Hong Kong currently has four marine parks. They
are located at Tung Ping Chau, Sha Chau & Lung Kwu Chau, Yan Chau
Tong and Hoi Ha Wan, and there is a marine reserve located at Cape D'Aguilar.
Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park
Hoi Ha Wan was one of Hong Kong's first marine parks and was officially
designated on 5 July 1996. It is located in a sheltered bay in the northern
Sai Kung Country Park and covers 260 ha. Hoi Ha Wan is famous for its
wide variety of marine life including more than 50 species of coral and
120 species of reef fish.
