Improvement Works at Birdwatching Hides

New wooden window and door lock inside the birdwatching hide
A number of windows have been fitted with clear perspex.

A number of improvement works have been carried out to a number of the birdwatching hides at Mai Po on a trial basis. The window lock of the no. 7 & Rotary mudflat birdwatching hide has been changed from two small metal locks into a central, wooden lock to reduce the noise caused when windows are opened and closed, and to make opening and locking the windows more easy and effective. A number of windows in three birdwatching hides have been fitted with clear perspex so that visitors can look out of the hide without opening the windows, and to make it slightly brighter inside for moving around. Should you have any comment on these improvement works or other matters, then please e-mail Lew Young lyoung@wwf.org.hk.
