WWF參與潛水展 介紹觀賞鯊魚及魟魚的良好營運方法
多年來，世界自然基金會香港分會（WWF）一直與餐飲業、企業等持份者合作，以減少魚翅消耗，並鼓勵公眾拒食魚翅。
全球賞鯊潛水活動的每年總收益高達三億一千四百萬美元，該數字料於20年內增長兩倍至約七億八千萬美元。相反，過去十年，鯊魚漁業收益不斷下降，目前全球總收益只是六億三千萬美元。由此可見，與魚翅貿易相比，賞鯊活動具有更大的潛在經濟價值。
鯊魚及魟魚的生態旅遊是一個具保育潛力的活動，若營辦商引入良好的管理方法，不但可保育這些品種及提高公眾的保育意識， 更可為當地社區帶來經濟收益。為協助旅遊營辦商、非牟利團體及當地機構制訂良好管理方法，WWF與Project AWARE®及 The Manta Trust合作， 出版全球第一本結合科學與實踐，並針對鯊魚及魟魚旅遊的營運守則(Responsible Shark and Ray Tourism: A Guide to Best Practice ) (只限英文版）。
WWF亦於香港國際潛水暨渡假觀光展中，向參加者介紹及派發相關營運守則，希望鯊魚及魟魚的生態旅遊營辦商能透過負責任的營運模式，保育海洋，並把保育信息傳遞予潛水人士。
