The 10th of our monthly ecological monitoring surveys is now available to read here. It’s part of our ongoing monitoring covering the demolition and rebuild of Peter Scott Field Studies Centre.

WWF maintains a commitment to transparency on our environmental standards and ecological monitoring with the aim of minimising the impact of the project and providing regular updates.

WWF has a long-standing commitment to work with the Mai Po Community for wetland conservation at the Mai Po and Inner Deep Bay Ramsar site. You can read more on the importance of integrating wetlands into a climate adaptation strategy, already recognized in the 2016-2021 Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, from Eric Wikramanayake, our Director of Wetlands in the SCMP.

We are already looking forward to the Big Bird Race 2020, being planned for 31 October, with the Saunders’s Gull as our theme bird. Join in helping us get the word out to friends, family and colleagues, to raise funds for habitat management at Mai Po Nature Reserve. You can donate here to support our work to protect this vital stopover point for waterbirds migrating along the East Asian-Australasian Flyway (EAAF).
