To investigate potential methods to improve the gei wai for the benefit of waterbirds, landscaping and habitat creation works were undertaken on a trial basis in a major high tide roosting site in the Mai Po Nature Reserve and the impacts to waterbirds, in particular shorebirds, were studied.
