Administration Assistant (Part Time)

Responsibilities:
- Provide reception service and general administrative duties including answering incoming calls, handling general enquiries, managing conference room booking and set up, photocopying and filing
- Assist the Executive Officer in arranging office equipment maintenance, monitoring premise maintenance contractors, handling correspondences and sourcing products, supplies and services, etc
- Assist the Executive Officer to implement, monitor and communicate administrative, and green office premise management policies, etc
- Assist to prepare regular administration/ operation reports
Job Requirements:
- Form 5 or above, able to communicate with Westerners
- Minimum 1 year experience in administration field
- Organized, good communication skills and good telephone manner
- Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office (Word & Excel), English and Chinese typing
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
This position will work from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every Monday to Friday. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages to the right candidate. Assistant Administration Officer / Administration Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Undertake a wide range of administration and clerical duties to support the daily operation of the Hoi Ha Marine Life Centre in Sai Kung (西貢海下灣海洋生物中心)
- Coordinate and negotiate with contractors and suppliers as directed
- Manage non-school educational visit bookings for the Centre
- Operate a small trading shop on need basis and responsible for the shop’s account management and stock take
Requirements:
- Form 5 or above with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
- Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office and Chinese word Processing
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with knowledge of Mandarin is preferred
- Employ a ‘can do’ attitude, able to handle multi-tasks and work independently
- Knowledge in book-keeping, first-aid or life-saving skills would be a definite advantage
- Willing to work occasionally on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays

Assistant Conservation Officer, Terrestrial

Reporting to the Senior Conservation Officer, this position assists in delivering conservation objectives in the terrestrial and policy area for protecting the local biodiversity of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the implementation of local / regional conservation programmes, focus primarily on reviewing and commenting development projects / proposals to avoid or minimize impacts to local biodiversity
- Undertake field surveys, review studies / reports produced by government, consultants and others, and work with local partners to ensure all aspects of nature conservation especially protecting native biodiversity are properly addressed
- Keep abreast of new or amended regulations, gazettes, motions and debates in Legislative Council and policies regarding nature conservation and environmental protection
- Assist the Senior Conservation Officer in dealing with correspondences and general enquiries relating to conservation and environmental protection matters
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or any discipline relating to conservation
- 2 - 4 years relevant working experience, preferably in nature and wildlife conservation or environmental consultant and management
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Proactive, passionate in nature and wildlife protection
- Strong interest in public affairs
- Willing and able to work in countryside and field
- Candidates with less experience / Fresh-graduates will be considered as Assistant Conservation Officer, Terrestrial

Programme Manager / Head of Footprint Programme (Job Code: W – HFP)
An Ecological Footprint is a measure of how much biologically productive land and water area an individual, a city, a country, a region, or humanity requires to produce the resources it consumes and to absorb the waste it generates, using prevailing technology and resource.
Human's impact on earth has risen to an unprecedented level due to the most rapid increase in human populations ever recorded in history. Hong Kong consumes more than double the amount of natural resources available per individual globally, and in many cases is supporting unsustainable extraction that reduces biodiversity in other countries.
We are looking for a high caliber individual to lead our footprint programme in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region. If you have a passion to reduce ecological footprint and achieve harmony between people and nature, join WWF-Hong Kong as the Head of Footprint Programme.
You will probably not be an expert on footprint issues, but a successful track record in business, consulting and/or NGO world with experience of marketing strategies, business process integration and project management are desired. Ability to develop and grow business relationships, and develop partnerships to tackle environmental issues is vital whilst experience of corporate and government relations is a plus. As a strategic thinker and self-starter, you should be a results orientated individual with strong interpersonal, communication, negotiating and influencing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction to the footprint programme (seafood, timber/paper trade), develop and implement initiatives (projects/activities) to achieve conservation objectives
- Proactively engage business and industry with WWF footprint initiatives/tools in the areas of seafood, timber/paper and energy
- Lead efforts to integrate and/or package our various footprint tools in the area of seafood, timber/paper and energy
- Deliver the biannual Hong Kong Ecological Footprint Report, liaise on such with WWF-China
- Liaise with other WWF offices on footprint issues relating in particular to business and industry engagement
- Prepare budgets, monitor progress and report on the projects/activities
- Supervise a small team of staff to effectively and efficiently deliver conservation objectives
- Raise WWF-Hong Kong’s image as a key NGO dedicated to tackling to footprint issues by undertaking media campaigns, communicating with the media and potential donors, providing seminars, talks and such like
Job Requirements:
- A degree holder with 10 years of working experience of which at least 5 years in the business sector and with good work exposure to at least one of the following areas – seafood, timber/paper, energy
- Proven ability to negotiate/ communicate in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Solid project management experience, strong skills on project planning, financing, implementation and evaluation
- Excellent people management and negotiation skills
- Good decision making skills and able to work independently
- Strong interest in conservation, particularly with passion in tackling footprint issues
