SOS - Save Our Seas Campaign

Sign our petition letter to the HK Chief Executive to stop our marine ecological system from collapsing

people have signed the petition

Objectives of SOS Campaign

Stop fishing in our existing Marine Parks, turning them into real sanctuaries that can truly protect marine life

Operate 10% of our waters as "no-take zones", banning fishing and other disturbance, so fish stocks can recover and thrive once again

Stop uncontrolled fishing, by licensing all commercial fishing boats and setting catch quotas before the ecosystem collapses

Hong Kong used to see colourful and diversified marine life some decades ago; with pollution, development and overfishing, the marine environment today is badly degraded. Certain species are heading towards extinction and the weight of our average local fish catch from trawling today is less than 10 gram!

If you do not want to lose these natural assets in our waters forever, sign the petition below to voice your concern to the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. Your actions will help leave our children a sea with life.
