With the vision of co-existing with nature, the EPSON
Foundation continues to support WWF to create a better living environment
for the present and future generations. In 2005, EPSON Foundation sponsored
WWF to carry out the Pearl River Delta Scoping Study and Education Programme.
This programme has two main components:
Pearl River
Delta Scoping Study
This study aims at collating a wide array of information
on the Pearl River Delta, and using it to produce a comprehensive synthesis
of the available information. This can then be used to formulate long-term
conservation strategies to protect the freshwater biodiversity of the
delta.
Education
for Sustainable Development
This is a capacity building training programme for
teachers in South China to enable them to effectively teach Education
for Sustainable Development (ESD) in their schools.
