Chu Ngar-yee Irene is a Partner of KPMG China specializing in emerging businesses and life sciences industries. Irene started her career with KPMG Toronto and has been working in Hong Kong for 19 years.

Irene is experienced in serving multinational and mainland Chinese companies that are private or listed in Hong Kong or U.S in audit and accounting advisory projects, and works with innovative and emerging companies across different industry sectors, and collaborates with Hong Kong governments, investors, universities and corporate entities to support and grow the entrepreneurial ecosystem, new economy opportunities and the life sciences sector in Hong Kong.

Irene is active in public services. She is currently the Chair of Finance Committee and Member of the Executive Council of WWF-Hong Kong, a member of the Assessment Panel for the Enterprise Support Scheme Assessment, Innovation and Technology Commission of the Government of HKSAR, a member of Standards Assurance Subcommittee of the Hong Kong ICT Awards, a Director of The Applied Research Council of the Government of HKSAR, a Member of Venture Capital Committee, Hong Kong Venture Capital Association and an Advisor of Hong Kong Life Sciences Society.

Irene graduated from University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce. She is a CPA, CA of Chartered Professional Accountants Canada, Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institute of Directors.
