Ms Julia Lau is a local registered practicing architect and an Authorized Person. She is a professional member of the Hong Kong Institute of Architects and a Chartered Member of the Transport & Logistics in Hong Kong. She is active in community service and has served on a number of statutory bodies and professional / academic institutions that would deepen her understanding of the dynamics in development versus conservation. Development related organizations she has served or are serving include – The HK Housing Authority & HK Housing Society, Town Planning Board, and Aviation Development & 3rd Runway Advisory Committee, along with cemetery organization and art institutions. Ms Lau is currently serving on all three subcommittees of the “Advisory Council on the Environment”, namely - Nature & Conservation, Waste Management, and Environmental Impact Assessment subcommittee. She continues her pursuit of interest in balancing development and conservation to achieve a wholistic sustainable community for all to enjoy.
