Buddy Up with Buffaloes(Brand New Programme! 1-day Children Class) |
Buffaloes in Mai Po are our important conservation partners!
In the coming Easter Holiday, kids aged 9-12 will become 1-day conservationists and learn how to be a wetland engineer from our buffaloes. They will closely observe how buffaloes create favourable habitats for birds and small creatures through gazing, roaming and mud bathing. They will also assist our conservationists to take care of our buffaloes, record their behaviour, collect data and remove invasive species in gei wai. They will join hands with our conservationists and buffaloes to protect Mai Po Nature Reserve!
(Remarks: Participants will not directly contact or feed the buffaloes.)

Looking for organic farming experience with your 6 – 11-year-old kids? Join our Smart Foodies programme to experience the work of farmers with your kids in our organic garden in the Island House heritage monument and help children understand the connection between food and the environment. Your family will also learn every grain comes after hard toil through the fun and exciting rice farming strategy game!
