Alexandre Macaire is Global Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for HSBC Insurance, one of the key businesses within HSBC’s retail banking and wealth management (RBWM) division. 
 
Alexandre joined HSBC in France in 2007, as sales and structurer of equity derivatives solutions in Global Markets. He later moved to the Finance function and has held both entity CFO and business CFO roles for HBEU International, Private Banking EMEA (based in Geneva) and lately, Group Insurance (based in London then Hong Kong).
 
Prior to joining HSBC, he worked for the French government, in the Defence and Finance ministries. 

Alexandre is a graduate of the French ‘Grandes Ecoles’ Ecole Polytechnique and National School of Administration and holds a degree in actuarial science and financial mathematics from the French National School of Statistics and Economic Administration (ENSAE).

Beside work, he likes to spend his spare time playing tennis, traveling across Asia with his family and taking photographs. With his wife Raphaelle, who is president of the association for Hong Kong, he supports the French charity “Les Oursins” whose mission is to help Philippine children receive education and gain self-confidence through games.
