Alun C. Grassick

Alun C. Grassick has a passion for the natural world, the conservation of wildlife and environmental sustainability.  He is a long-term member and patron of The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland and is Honorary Chairman of The Pot Bellied Pigs Rugby Football Club (a Hong Kong based social rugby club which raises funds for projects associated with the development of the game of rugby and disadvantaged children in, principally, The Philippines and Laos), having been Chairman for 10 years up to 2018.  He is also a Committee Member of the Scottish Business Group of the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and has served on the Disciplinary Panel and the Auditing and Assurance Standards Committee of The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“HKICPA”).
 
Alun worked in the Hong Kong Office of KPMG China from 1988 to 2017 (as a partner from 1995 to 2017) specialising in providing auditing services and professional advice on financial reporting and corporate governance matters to listed companies in Hong Kong.  
 
Alun graduated from Edinburgh University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in geography.  He became a chartered accountant in 1987 and is a Fellow and an ICAEW Business and Finance Professional of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Fellow of the HKIPCA.
