Together for a Blue Tomorrow | Uniting Businesses to Protect Our Shared Oceans
Ocean Impact Challenge 2026 is a corporate team-based marine experience and fundraising event devised by WWF-Hong Kong. The event combines outdoor action, teamwork and marine conservation education. Set in the spectacular landscapes and shorelines of Wong Shek, Pak Sha O and Hoi Ha Wan in Sai Kung, the challenge invites teams to complete various tasks related to marine ecology and sustainability within a set timeframe. Encompassing marine ecology and sustainability, the tasks allow participants to engage directly with nature and put conservation principles into practice.
Key components are hands-on participation and time-bound challenges. Instead of guided tours, participants must collaborate with their team members to strategise and solve problems along predetermined routes, tackling tasks that earn points for the team. Spanning approximately 10 kilometres, the journey involves walking and taking a shuttle bus and ferry, with participants enjoying immersive experiences in Hong Kong's marine ecosystems while strengthening their teamwork, communication and on-the-spot decision-making skills.
Ocean Impact Challenge 2026 is much more than a team-building activity - it is a learning laboratory for transforming ESG commitments into tangible action. All funds raised will support WWF-Hong Kong's marine conservation and public education efforts, including environmental education offered from the Hoi Ha Wan Marine Life Centre and habitat restoration such as coral and seagrass recovery projects. By participating, companies and their employees are contributing to protecting Hong Kong's marine environment and generating long-term positive environmental and social impacts.
