Latest updates to PSFSC demolition and rebuild
We are working to upgrade the Peter Scott Field Studies Centre (PSFSC) to meet the needs of our Mai Po Community, and deliver a 21st Century Nature Classroom by 2022.The PSFSC building and forecourt at the site were closed for preliminary work ahead of demolition. Demolition of PSFSC will go ahead in August.
Selective demolition will be adopted, to reduce waste generation, noise and fugitive dust. Noise barriers are to be used for noise reduction of up to 18dB(A).
Limited parking is currently available adjacent to our site cabin on a first-come, first-served basis.
The health and safety of our visitors is a top priority. We are supporting the community health precaution measures to contain the spread of coronavirus, and have implemented enhanced cleaning precautions at all our centres in line with World Health Organization and Centre for Health Protection guidelines. Please access our Mai Po Activity Website platform for updates on the availability of public visits.
Should you have any queries please feel free to contact us at: maipocommunity@wwf.org.hk. Individuals seeking to register with our Mai Po Community to get regular updates on the project can email us or call 2864-1416.
