In support of the Mai Po Nature Reserve Infrastructure Upgrade Project, WWF-Hong Kong is constructing two new tower hides and upgrading the existing footpaths to wooden boardwalks. The boardwalks were designed to meet universal accessibility standard, with interactive education area alongside, benefiting different people in the community and enabling the public to enjoy the beauty of the nature.

To avoid disturbance on habitats and birds, the construction will be taken place outside of the bird migratory season (between April and October). The construction works will NOT cause adverse impact to the ecology and environment; and will comply with all relevant statutory requirements for the construction and implementation. The EIA report is now available for the public to inspect from 19 November 2021 to 18 December 2021.
