Teacher Training

To raise local teachers' awareness of conservation issues and sustainable development, we designed the School-based Teacher Training Programmes and formed an Education for Sustainable Development Network as a platform for educators to exchange teaching and learning experience.

School-based Teacher Training Programmes

Our School-based Teacher Training Programmes aim to raise teachers' awareness of various environmental conservation issues and concepts, such as marine, wetland, footprint, climate change and sustainable development. These programmes will assist teachers in their design and implementation of related educational activities and promote collaboration and experience-sharing among teachers. The training programmes will be delivered in the form of workshops and field trips. Training programmes can be designed to meet school’s requirements or to match with Staff Development Days.

Education for Sustainable Development Network

To facilitate better communication and create stronger links with school teachers and multipliers, we formed an "Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) Network" in 2001. The latest news about WWF-Hong Kong’s education programmes and educational materials will be delivered to the members of the network via email.
