Flow with Nature: Youth Action Project
Nowadays, the young generation is facing challenges from different dimensions, ranging from academic study, personal development, relationships with family and friends and social circumstances, which may become sources of stress that affect the well-being of youths. A growing body of research points to the beneficial effects that exposure to the natural environment has on health, reducing stress and promoting healing.
WWF-Hong Kong launched the education project “Flow with Nature, Youth Action Project in July 2021 with the generous support from the Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation. This project seeks to enhance collective and individual well-being by reconnecting young people with nature through various activities and training. WWF believes that while practicing sustainable lifestyle and promoting nature conservation, young people can experience the FLOW state of full immersion in nature and meaningful lives. With support from the City University of Hong Kong’s Positive Education Laboratory, the project will integrate positive psychology elements to inspire young people to discover their strengths and potential.
